Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The influence of democratic leadershipstyle on teacher performance in MTs Mafatihul Akhlaq Demangan AnnualJepara. 2) Effect of managerial skills on the headmaster of madrasahon teacherperformance in MTs Mafatihul Akhlaq Demangan Annual Jepara. 3)Simultaneous influence of democratic leadership style and managerial skills ofmadrasahhead on teacher performancein MTs Mafatihul Akhlaq DemanganAnnual Jepara. This research uses correlation research with quantitative researchapproaches. The study population was all teachers in Mts. Mafatihul AkhlaqJepara's Annual Demangan with 35 teachers. The sample used is saturatedsampling where all members of the population are sampled. Data collectiontechniques using questionnaires, surveys and documentation. While the dataanalysis technique uses inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that 1) Democratic leadership style has a significanteffect on teacher performance. This can be proven through the correlationstrength value of rx1y= 0,374. The magnitude of the effect is evidenced by the R2value of 14%, which means that teacher performance achieved is inseparablefrom the influence of democratic leadership styles. While the influence model isexpressed by the regression equation Ŷ = 112,760 + 0,570 X1with Fcount= 5,371with a significance level of 0,027 <0,05 means reject Ho and accept Ha. 2) Themanagerial skills of the madrasah head have a significant effect on teacherperformance. This is evidenced by the correlation value of rx2y= 0,591. Themagnitude of the effect is evidenced by the R2value of 34,9%, which means thattheteacher performance achieved is inseparable from the influence of themanagerial skills of the madrasah head. While the influence model is expressedby the regression equation Ŷ = 80,589 + 0,928 X2with Fcount= 17,712 with asignificance level of 0,000 <0,05 means reject Ho and accept Ha. 3) Thedemocratic leadership style and managerial skills of the madrasah head have asignificant effect on teacher performance. This is evidenced by the correlationrx1,2 yof 0,690. The amount of influence is evidencedby the R2value of 47,6%.While the influence model is expressed by the regression equation Y = 24,059 +0,543 X1+ 0,911 X2+ e with a Fcountvalue of 14,554 with a significant level of0,000, because the Fcountvalue is greater than Ftable(3,27).
