Abstract
The teacher's teaching style will influence student learning achievement. A teacher in teaching must have a learning style model that will be conveyed to his students. Especially for English teachers, they have different learning model skills to develop the quality of English language learning that has Islamic values. In-service English teachers at MA Darul Ulum also apply a teaching style that motivates students by applying Islamic values at school. English teachers present several characteristics related to variations in teaching and learning styles. In general, teachers will adapt by approaching the situation and conditions around them to apply the teaching model. The purpose of these teaching models is to identity the appropriate learning model used by in-service English teachers in developing students interest in Islamic values. This thesis aims to determine the teaching style model of in-service English teachers in developing students' interest in Islamic values. The type of research method used is field research, which uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. The data source in this research is in-service English teachers. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and creating narratives or descriptions. The research results can be summarized as follows: The English teachers’ teaching style can influence students' interest in learning English based on Islamic values. Cooperative learning and problem-based learning models are two of the teaching styles of English teachers in developing students' interest in Islamic values at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum. Using this learning model can develop students' interest in learning by linking English topics or materials to Islamic values. Students feel happy and enthusiastic about learning English. Thus, the English teacher has implemented an appropriate learning model.
