In a simple term, it can be said that the discussion of politics is the discussion about the legitimacy of power. Politics is a conception which contains provisions about who is the source of state authority, who is the executive power, what is the basis and how to determine to whom the authority to exercise the powers is given, to whom the executive authority will be responsible and what the form of its responsibility. In this political context, Habermas states that politics is a situation where people work together. While democracy is a concept of political thought since it also strives for how people can work together. Habermas's concept of democracy is known as deliberative democracy. This concept has become a trend nowadays and seems a new term. However, if we follow him later, the real concept of deliberative democracy indirectly has fused with the traditions of our ancestors, Indonesia, although this local tradition has continued to fade recently. One of the integration of deliberative democracy concept with the Indonesian local tradition indicators is a discussion culture to reach a consensus in Indonesian society. This paper is important because it discusses a conversation or what sort of communication required by the perfectionist in deliberative democracy.
