Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of Youtube video was effective or not to engage students in learning English grammar. This research was carried out at Salafiyah Islamic High School Kajen. This type of research is qualitative research. The participants of this study were the eleventh graders of MA Salafiyah Kajen Margoyoso Pati. In collecting data, the researcher used an observation and interview. The result of this study showed that youtube video is effective enough to be applied in pandemic situations because its implementation supports social distancing policies. To engage the students in learning English grammar, the teacher uses effective ways such as using youtube videos as his media. The factors of students engagement in the teaching-learning process are the students’ perception of their teacher and the tasks
