Abstract
Nowadays, there are many choices of methods that can be used in learning English to make it easier for students to learn English, especially learning new vocabularies, one of the suitable methods in learning new vocabulary is the audio lingual method because it emphasizes students' memory, according to the results of research conducted in class 11 MA NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus, it was found that the use of audio lingual methods went well by the teacher in the classroom. The researcher focus on two research questions, the first is how the aplication of the audio lingual method for students learning new vocabularies at MA NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus and the second is what the supporting also inhibiting factors from the aplication of the audio lingual method for students learning new vocabularies. In this study, researcher used a descriptive qualitative method approach, namely going directly to the MA NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus school to conduct observations, interviews, and also documentation of this research. The results of this study are the application of the audio lingual method runs quite well, the teacher pronounces new vocabulary to be listened to by students and repeated again, the application of the audio lingual method does not require many tools. Based on the results of the researcher's observation, it was found that the audio lingual method was quite interested by some students even though there were still some inhibiting factors in the application of the audio lingual method.
