Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know Students’ developing in listening comprehension through the english song. this research was qualitative research by observing the teaching and learning process using English Song. This research was conducted in Eighth students of MTs Matholibul Ulum Lebak Jepara in Academic Year of 2021/2022. By using purposive sampling, there were 30 students who were samples in this research. The data were collected by observation and interview with students and English teacher. The observation was done during the teaching and learning process using English song while the interview used structured interview. After the data collected and analyzed by using theory of Miles and Huberman's qualitative analysis paradigm, the result found that there was students’ improvement in listening comprehension. It could be seen from the score that the students got after the class was 82 and before giving English song was 76. It meant that there was significant improvement in students’ listening score after being taught using English song. Besides that, the students’ improvement in listening comprehension also found on students’ vocabularies and motivation. After the method implemented, the students’ vocabularies was improved. Besides that, their motivation in learning listening was also improved. So, the conclusion is there were students’ developing in listening comprehension through English song on Eighth students of MTs Matholibul Ulum Lebak Jepara in Academic Year of 2021/2022.
