Abstract
This research is based on the fact that many students have problems learning English. There are several issues experienced by students namely, difficulty in pronouncing English vocabulary, limited vocabulary, and lack of interest during the learning process. Therefore, the teacher tries to use audio-visual media in the form of the Cocomelon YouTube channel as a learning innovation to improve students' English vocabulary learning abilities and to overcome various problems experienced by students in learning English. This study aims to investigate the process of implementing the Cocomelon YouTube channel as a medium to learning English vocabulary for playgroup students in Sukolilo Pati. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects in this study are teachers, principals, and parents of students living in Sukolilo Pati. Data analysis is carried out using the Miles and Huberman analysis model, which consists of several steps, namely data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Cocomelon YouTube channel can be an effective medium for teaching English vocabulary to playgroup students, as it presents fun and easily memorable songs that facilitate active and passive vocabulary learning. However, during the learning process, students did not fully understand the material in the videos due to the lack of coordination between teachers and students. Moreover, parents said that students had difficulty applying the learning from school at home. The study recommends that parents showed be involved in their children's learning to ensure that they can remember and apply the vocabulary learned at school. The study also highlights the factors that support and hinder the effectiveness of the Cocomelon YouTube channel, including technology availability and the ability to manage the varying moods and behaviors of students during learning.
